Over 28 million tourists visit Japan each year. Visiting Japan allows them to experience the culture, cuisine, and other attractions to the fullest extent.
Mount Fuji, known as fujisan (ๅฏๅฃซๅฑฑ) in Japan, is the tallest mountain in Japan. It is located about 60 miles from Tokyo and many people come to climb it. There are many places in Japan where tourists can go to view ๅฏๅฃซๅฑฑ.

Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park is a park that surrounds the Hiroshima Peace Memorial or genbaku dome (ๅ็ใใผใ ). It was the only building that remained standing after the Hiroshima atomic bombing and was made into a memorial to serve as a reminder to never repeat such a tragic event.

Known as itsukushima jinja (ๅณๅณถ็ฅ็คพ) in Japanese, this shrine is located on Itsukushima island. It is often completely surrounded by water, which creates a scenic view that is popular among tourists.

Japanese cuisine is unique and there are some foods that all tourists must try when visiting! Traditional Japanese food, called washoku (ๅ้ฃ), usually includes the staple Japanese food, white rice or gohan (ใ้ฃฏ), and a variety of small side dishes called okazu (ใใใ).
Some common ใใใ dishes include:
- ใทใฃใฑใใขใธ (salmon, Japanese mackerel)
- ่ใใใ (meat and potato mix)
- ้่็ใ (stir fried vegetables)
