Why You Should Use Quizlet

The best way to study vocabulary is through memorization and repetition, and what better way to enforce those methods than through flashcards? Quizlet.com is a popular site that allows students to use virtual flashcards to study. Here are some pre-made Quizlet decks that you can use to study and reference throughout the year to be successful on the exam in May. 🎉

1. AP Literature Vocab - General

If you need a general review of vocabulary but don’t know where to begin, look no further! This Quizlet deck features 101 words that act as an overview of the entire course, with concepts like figurative language, figures of speech, points of view, and more! 📕

2. AP Literature Vocab - Poetry 🌐

This set of vocabulary words is significantly smaller, sitting at right over 30 terms. However, this set also focuses on poetry-related terms more specifically. It is super important to know the technical terms when describing poetry; not only will you have to analyze a poem within the free-response section, but these words will likely appear within the multiple-choice section as well!

5. AP Literature Unit 6 Vocabulary

As you can see, I skipped ahead in the unit-specific vocabulary decks. This does not mean there are no decks available for units 3-5 (or 7-9 for that matter!) I just wanted to highlight this deck to you because it is pretty big for just one unit - over 50 terms! That’s because this set not only defines vocabulary words but also provides synonyms and antonyms for each (notated with a + and - respectively). 📖
